# Drift Remediation Keep Your Infrastructure Aligned with Your Code
> Reconcile infrastructure drift in env zero automatically or manually, reapplying IaC at the project or environment level while respecting all approval policies.
Drift Remediation is a capability that reduces the time required to reconcile infrastructure drift and keep your infrastructure consistent with its intended configuration.
Automatic Drift Remediation can be configured to either reapply the IaC configuration or accept changes made outside of IaC management (the latter option will be available soon).
The automation can be set at both the project and environment levels and will adhere to all approval processes, security policies, and compliance requirements already configured within your env zero account.
To enhance control, you can also opt to manually reconcile drift using the newly added 'Remediate Drift' button. There you can choose between the same two reconciliation options; 'Code to Cloud' and 'Cloud to Code', as shown below:
